Frances Barbara Semler, 92, Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2026 with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, Kansas. Inurnment at De Soto Cemetery, De Soto, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to Wayside Waifs or Alzheimer’s Association. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com
Frances was born in De Soto, Kansas on January 14, 1934 to William F. and Nina Mae (Smith) Caldwell. She worked in farm equipment sales. She married Richard Semler. Frances enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing and playing the piano.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: James Caldwell, Marian Plumb and Billie Wells. She is survived by her daughter Daryle (Rick) Heldenbrand, Lee’s Summit, Missouri and grandson Ryan Heldenbrand.
