Warren Dean Hicks, 64, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026 at University of Kansas Health, Olathe, Kansas. Military honors will occur on Sept 26th at 1:30 in Spring Hill Kansas. Condolences may be given at www.brucefuneralhome.com
Warren was born in New Underwood, South Dakota on May 4, 1962 to James Warren and Gloria (Stirling) Hicks. He grew up in Spring Hill and graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1980. Warren married Theresa Gallagher on May 26, 2000 in Olathe, Kansas. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving for six years. Warren worked as a Bus Aide for First Student/Apple Bus Company, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He was awarded Bus Aide of the Year, receiving the recognition for four years. Warren enjoyed playing golf and was a fan of Kansas Chiefs Football, Royals Baseball and KU Basketball.
Warren was preceded in death by his father Jim. He is survived by his wife Theresa, Spring Hill, Kansas, children James Bailey (Sarah), Spring Hill, Kansas and Jennifer Bailey, Spring Hill, Kansas; mother Gloria Hicks, Spring Hill, Kansas; siblings: Leslie Hudson, Greenville, South Carolina, LeRoy Huson, Hampton, Virginia, Marsha Slyter, Colbert, Oklahoma and Leibert Hudson, Spring Hill, Kansas and grandchildren: Mosley Bailey, Tyler Asher, Kensley Asher and Addilynn Joels.
