Barbara Ann Holmes, 80, of Shawnee, KS passed peacefully in her home on September 15, 2026, after a long battle with COPD. She was born Barbara Ann Dylan on September 10, 1946, in Kansas City, KS to Myrle and Ruby Dylan. She was married to Rodney Holmes on August 7, 1965. They were married for 61 years and had three children. Before Barbara retired, she worked for the Sericol Ink Company as a buyer.
In her free time, she loved riding her horses. She spent time with her grandchildren training them to ride and compete at 4H functions.
Barbara was survived by husband Rodney Holmes; children, Damon and Angie Holmes, Jason and Minnie Holmes, Angela Holmes; As well as grandchildren, Olivia, Max, Phoebe, Dylan, Skylar, Drake, Xavier, and Ezekiel.
Barbara was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She passed away with the knowledge that she will again be with her family and friends when the earth is returned to a paradise condition where sickness and death will be no more. (Rev 21:3,4)
