James Michael “Mike” O’Grady, 74, Gardner, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at University of Kansas Hospice, Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026 with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 555 W. Main, Gardner, Kansas. Mike was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 6, 1952 to James Earnest and Kathleen Mae (Brantley) O’Grady. He was a United States Army Veteran. After he retired from the Army, Mike was a school bus driver. Mike was a member of the Divine Mercy Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed exercising, especially swimming. Mike like to read and ride motorcycles.
Mike is survived by his brothers Patrick Matthew O’Grady and Dennis Gerald (Linda) O’Grady both of Overland Park, Kansas and five nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Kathleen; brothers Kevin William O’Grady and Brian Gerad O’Grady and sisters-in-law Sharman O’Grady and Terri O’Grady.
