With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Kevin Aguilar Tenorio, who passed away on October 22, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas, at the young age of 25.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, Kevin was a proud Mexican who carried his heritage and roots with pride. His upbringing and culture were an important part of who he was and the life he shared with those around him.
Kevin was the beloved son of Joaquin Aguilar Reyes and Guadalupe Tenorio Quezada. He was a cherished son, family member, and friend whose presence brought love, laughter, and unforgettable memories to those fortunate enough to know him.
It is difficult to put into words exactly who Kevin was, because no words could ever fully capture the person he was or the impact he had on those around him. Kevin was truly one of a kind. Everyone whose path crossed his was left with something to remember, whether it was his kindness, his strength, his generosity, or simply the way he made them feel. He had a way of leaving a lasting impression on people’s hearts, even through the smallest interactions. To know Kevin was to experience someone unforgettable, and the impact he made will continue to live on in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Kevin lived life to the fullest, embracing each day with strong determination and an unwavering spirit. He approached life with courage, passion, and the desire to make the most of every moment. His strength and determination were part of what made him unforgettable.
Throughout his battle with osteosarcoma, Kevin demonstrated extraordinary strength, resilience, and courage. He faced his diagnosis head-on, with fierce determination and a fighting spirit that never wavered. Despite the challenges, pain, and uncertainty that came his way, Kevin refused to allow cancer to define who he was or place limits on how he chose to live his life. He continued to embrace life on his own terms, making memories, sharing love, and showing those around him what true courage looked like. He fought with everything he had until his very last breath, never allowing his illness to take away his spirit, his determination, or his love for life. Kevin was so much more than his diagnosis. He was a fighter, an inspiration, and, above all, a deeply loved young man whose courage will never be forgotten.
Beyond his incredible strength, Kevin had a heart of gold. He was incredibly caring, generous, and selfless, always willing to help someone in need. Kevin was the kind of person who would literally give you the shirt off his own back without thinking twice. He never hesitated to put others before himself, and his kindness spoke louder than words. Whether it was through a helping hand, a thoughtful gesture, or simply being there when someone needed him, Kevin had a way of making people feel loved and cared for.
Kevin also had a great love for food. He enjoyed good food and appreciated the simple pleasures in life. Whether it was enjoying a favorite meal or sharing food with loved ones, these were moments that brought him happiness.
Kevin also loved sports, especially his favorite teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Braves. These were just a few of the things that brought him happiness and joy.
Among the many things his loved ones will always remember are Kevin’s favorite sayings, “Es igual” and “No pasa nada.” These familiar words were part of what made Kevin uniquely himself. Though his voice will be deeply missed, those simple phrases will forever bring back memories of him and the moments shared together. Whenever his family and friends hear those words, they will be reminded of Kevin and the special place he will always hold in their hearts.
Although his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the impact he made will remain in our hearts forever. Kevin’s legacy will not be measured by the years he lived or the illness he endured, but by the love he shared, the lives he touched, the kindness he showed, and the incredible strength with which he faced life’s greatest challenges.
As we say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing that Kevin’s memory will live on through the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love that will never fade.
Forever 25. Forever loved. Forever missed.
Rest peacefully, Kevin. Until we meet again.
