With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Judy, on October 29, 2026. She was born on September 9th,1950, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and was 76 years old at the time of her passing.
Judy was the heart and strength of our family. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and cared for. Her kindness was shown not only in grand gestures but in everyday acts of devotion: a warm meal, an encouraging word, a comforting hug, or a listening ear when it was needed most.
More than anything, Judy cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. The lessons she taught through her example, to be kind, to work hard, to forgive, and to love unconditionally, will remain with us forever.
Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort in countless treasured memories and in the love she shared so freely. Her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and in the family she loved so dearly.
She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Miles, and her son, Tye.
Judy is lovingly remembered and survived by her sons, Travis and Troy; her daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Anna; and her treasured grandchildren, Max, Payten and Macie.
We will miss her every day, but we carry her with us always. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will never fade.
“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear.”
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 7th, 2026 from 10am to 12pm at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Great Plains SPCA or any other animal shelter of your choice.
