Maleta Ann Brockus, 70, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, at Kansas City Hospice House. Maleta was born on June 02, 1956, in Iola, Kansas, and carried her Kansas farm-girl spirit throughout her life.
Maleta spent 32 years as a dedicated employee in the accounting office at Olathe Ford, where her loyalty and strong work ethic were a reflection of the values she held throughout her life. Maleta also enjoyed her part-time job at the Hallmark shop in Olathe.
Above all, Maleta loved spending time outdoors. Whether enjoying the fresh air, taking in the beauty of nature, or being outside with her family and friends, she found joy in the simple pleasures in life. Her playful spirit, hardworking nature, and love of life made her a special presence to those who knew her. She treasured time spent with loved ones and enjoyed being a part of the community.
Maleta is survived by three children, Janelle Brockus, Leawood, John Brockus (Erin), Olathe, Robin Machol (James), Overland Park; Maleta has five grandchildren who brought love and joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her sister and her parents.
At Maleta’s request, a private cremation burial will take place in Piqua, Kansas.
Maleta will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
