Tacos El Gallo, a Kansas City-based Mexican restaurant, is opening a location in Mission.
The Mexican restaurant is poised to take over the former The Corner Lalo’s Kitchen space at 5038 Lamar Ave.
Tacos El Gallo is opening soon
- The city of Mission’s monthly newsletter stated Tacos El Gallo anticipated opening at 5038 Lamar on March 20.
- Still, the restaurant does not appear to be open just yet.
- The Post was unable to connect with the owners of Tacos El Gallo for comment for this story.
- Tacos El Gallo’s Kansas City Facebook page notes the Mission location is opening soon, though.
The menu features classic Mexican dishes
- A variety of tacos are available at Tacos El Gallo, including asada, chicken, carnitas, chorizo, cabeza, buche and pastor.
- The restaurant features a breakfast menu with chilaquiles, which are lightly fried corn tortillas topped in a sauce.
- Tacos El Gallo also offers plate options including burrito spreads and menudo.
This is the second Mexican eatery at this location
- The Corner Lalo’s Kitchen, which was also a Mexican restaurant, closed last month after a three-year run in Mission.
- The Corner Lalo’s Kitchen served similar dishes to Tacos El Gallo like menudo, tacos and tortas.
