Westlake Ace Hardware to open new store in Overland Park this summer

A new Westlake Ace Hardware store is coming to Overland Park.

The Lenexa-based hardware store chain announced plans for a new location this week at 11200 Antioch Road.

The 23,000-square foot space just south of College Boulevard and Antioch used to be occupied by Nuts and Bolts Hardware.

This makes the company’s 24th store in the Kansas City metro area and the fourth in Overland Park.

“We are thrilled to be opening another new store in our hometown of Kansas City,” said Joe Jeffries, president and CEO of Westlake Ace Hardware. “We are eager to show our new customers in Overland Park how we live the Ace Helpful Promise every day by delivering reliable service, helpful advice, and the products they need to get their projects done right.”

The incoming Westlake Ace Hardware store will offer many of its typical services, such as key cutting, screen repair and knife sharpening. It will also sell tools, electrical supplies and lawn and garden supplies.

This location also will carry specialty brand items like Scotts lawn care products, Yeti coolers and Solo Stove firepits, according to Westlake Ace’s announcement.

The store is set to open later this spring. Renovations will start in March, followed by a soft opening expected in May and a grand opening event later this summer.
