Colorado-based clothing company The North Face has officially opened its first stand-alone store in Johnson County.
The popular outerwear retailer opened the doors to its new southern Leawood store near 117th Street and Roe Avenue on Friday.
North Face opened at Leawood’s Town Center Plaza
- The store opened on the south side of the shopping center at 5004 W. 119th St.
- North Face neighbors Bath & Body Works and Kansas City Aerial Arts at the Leawood shopping center.
- The store operates from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
North Face specializes in outdoor apparel and gear
- North Face offers clothing and footwear for men, women and children.
- The Colorado-based company’s clothing inventory ranges from jackets, vests and joggers to accessories like hats and gloves.
- In addition to clothes, North Face also sells outdoor equipment like tents, blankets, sleeping bags.
The Kansas City metro only has one other North Face store
- Leawood’s new North Face store marks the first in Johnson County and the second in the metro area.
- The first stand-alone store operates at Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza shopping center.
- However, North Face apparel is sold nearby at the Macy’s department store at Town Center Plaza.
- Other nearby retailers like REI, Dillard’s, Nordstrom and Dicks’ Sporting Goods also sell North Face attire.
