Dips & Sips in downtown Mission has closed indefinitely.

Owner Farrah Jazeh decided to return to the University of Kansas in Lawrence for her final year of classes to earn her business degree.

Jazeh’s father, Alex Jazeh, who owns Mission Watch and Jewelry Repair next door, said no plans are certain, but they have considered selling the ice cream shop and bakery, which has been open for seven years under various ownership.

“We’d love to keep it, but my daughter is going back to school,” Alex Jazeh said. “Hopefully somebody will pick it up and keep it going. We definitely love Mission.”

The Jazehs bought the shop last year from a couple who retired to Florida.
