Those talented thespians at SM East have drawn plenty of attention for their big production this year.

But their young peers at Indian Hills Middle School have impressive talent of their own.

The middle school’s performance students are preparing to stage their annual musical May 2-4: The Little Mermaid.

Here’s the show description from performance teacher Cheryl Hodges-Thrutchley:

Embark on a magical journey UNDER THE SEA as Indian Hills Middle School students make a SPLASH on their new stage with this year’s all school musical, The Little Mermaid. Show dates are May 2, 3, 4 at 7:00 p.m. Join us and become “part of our world” in this spectacular musical based on the Hans Christian Anderson classic story. Purchase your tickets by the office April 29- May 1 from 8:05 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. or at the door on the night of the show starting at 6:30 p.m. You’ll be “flippin’ your fins” with applause as this show will be a huge hit!
