A new gym with an emphasis on flexibility has arrived in Overland Park. Fitness company StretchLab just celebrated its grand opening in south Overland Park, with plans to expand with more gyms in Johnson County.
Where exactly: StretchLab’s Overland Park location opened at 6645 W. 135th St.
- The center’s regular hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Weekend hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
What is StretchLab? StretchLab specializes in individual and group stretch sessions with “Flexologist” trainer assistance.
- Stretchers can opt for standard sessions that target the whole body or sessions that target specific areas.
- StretchLab also offers memberships that come with either four, eight or 12 monthly individual stretch sessions and unlimited group sessions.
Bigger picture: StretchLab’s opening in Overland Park marks the beginning of the company’s expansion this summer into the Kansas City metro area.
- Two more Johnson County locations are in the works — one at 3812 W. 95th St. in Leawood and another at 2712 W. 53rd St. in Fairway.
- Before the Overland Park StretchLab opening, the company already had one Kansas City location across state lines in Missouri.
- The company also plans to open a second location on the Missouri side of Kansas City.
