Kansas City-based orthopedic practice Sano Orthopedics will officially celebrate its expansion into Leawood with a formal ribbon-cutting next week.
Where exactly: The Leawood clinic is already open and accepting paitents at 4940 W. 137th St., Suite B, near Leawood’s Church of the Resurrection across 137th Street.
What the practice does: Sano physicians specialize in musculoskeletal care, including addressing a range of muscle, bone and joint injuries, according to their website.
- This includes workplace and athletic injuries to the spine, hip, knees, shoulders, hands and elbows.
- Some of the services they offer include joint replacements and needle imaging to diagnose injuries.
- Leawood’s clinic offers walk-in services as well as visits by appointment.
Bigger picture: This is the only Sano Orthopedics clinic in the Blue Valley area, but they also have other Kansas locations in Garnett and Paola.
- Sano Orthopedics also has offices across state lines in Lee’s Summit and Grandview, Mo.
In their own words: Laura Daggett, marketing director for Sano Orthopedics, said the clinic will likely continue to expand into Johnson County.
- “Our vision is a healthier community,” she said. “Our focus is to kind of focus on people’s health, not just the injury they’re facing.”
