The Blue Valley High choir’s Radiohead cover has become a national favorite.
In February, the Blue Valley High chorale competed at the Next Generation Barbershop Junior Varsity Chorus Festival in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The choir’s rendition of Radiohead’s hit song “Creep” won the Audience Favorite Award.

The choir competed with seven other high school groups
- The Barbershop Harmony Society Midwinter Convention hosted high school choirs from across the country.
- The Blue Valley High chorale has 25 singers — including sophomores, juniors and seniors.
The group also earned a “superior” title
- On top of the Audience Favorite Award, the choir also earned the highest possible ranking at the festival.
- The festival awarded top titles in excellent, outstanding, and superior rankings — with “superior” being the highest.
- The choir was the only one to earn that ranking besides “Here Comes Treble,” an all-female choir from Burlington, Wisconsin.
BV Northwest’s choir also recently earned props
- Earlier this week, Blue Valley Northwest’s choir performed at Carnegie Hall as part of the New York City theater’s National Youth Choir festival.
- The BV Northwest choir performed with four other schools from across the country, but was the only choir chosen to give an individual feature performance at the festival.
