The University of Kansas Health System has officially opened its new store, MyHealth at Home, with a recent soft launch.

A grand opening of the store is planned for sometime early next year.

MyHealth at Home operates at 6357 W. 119th St.

  • The store moved into a space at the Fountains shopping center in southern Overland Park.
  • The A1 Sushi & Hibachi restaurant previously housed the space.
  • MyHealth at Home is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

MyHealth at Home sells medical equipment

  • The store’s inventory ranges from wound dressings and wheelchairs to respiratory devices.
  • The store also has two consulting rooms for patients to discuss what equipment they need and try out their new devices with trained therapists.
  • Near the checkout desk, the store will also later have a kiosk with smaller devices and CBD products available for purchase.

The store is aiming for a grand opening in January

  • In its soft-launch phase, MyHealth at Home is only open for “cash purchases” — meaning purchases not covered by insurance, according to University of Kansas Health System officials.
  • Customers who aren’t able to shop in-store can also have items delivered to their house.
  • “We saw it as an opportunity to serve our patients past their stay in the hospital, ” said Janie Ott, Vice President of Supply Chain for the University of Kansas Health System. “We recognize that we had the opportunity to help patients transition to home with the same supplies that are utilized on them in the Health System.”
