Taco Bell now open in former Lion’s Choice space in Olathe

A fast-casual taco chain has officially taken over one of the former Lion’s Choice spaces in Johnson County.

California-based Taco Bell remodeled and moved into their newest Johnson County space, opening last month in Olathe.

Taco Bell is at 14189 W. 135th St.

  • The restaurant occupies a space on the southeast corner of West 135th Street and South Greenwood Street, near Whataburger and coffee chain Dutch Bros.
  • That space was home to Lion’s Choice for roughly five years before the restaurant closed at the end of June 2024.
  • The new Taco Bell is open from 8 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. to midnight Sunday.

Taco Bell serves fast-casual tacos and other items

  • The restaurant’s menu features items like tacos, burritos, nachos and quesadillas.
  • Taco Bell also offers sides like chips and dip, nacho fries, and beans and rice.
  • In the morning, the menu also offers breakfast items like breakfast burritos and quesadillas.

Taco Bell already has a large JoCo presence

  • This newest Olathe location serve as the sixth in the city for the California-based chain.
  • Outside of Olathe, Taco Bell also has Johnson County locations in Overland Park, Shawnee, Lenexa, Merriam, Mission and Roeland Park.
  • Across the state line, Taco Bell also has four locations in Kansas City, Missouri.
