A fitness company offering “high-intensity” pilates workouts recently unveiled its newest Johnson County studio.

Texas-based fitness company Bodybar Pilates opened its doors in Lenexa last month — its first in the city and its newest studio in Johnson County.

Bodybar Pilates is at 12825 W. 87th St.

  • The studio moved into a space at the Rosehill Exchange shopping center, just off West 87th Street and Gillette Street.
  • Children’s coding center Code Ninjas previously occupied that space, before it closed sometime in 2024.
  • Bodybar in Lenexa generally offers classes from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m, though class schedules vary depending on the day.

Bodybar workouts target strength and balance

  • Classes at Bodybar use various pilates equipment like reformer machines, tower springs and jump boards.
  • Pilates workouts like the ones incorporated into Bodybar classes typically aim to produce benefits like building strength, increasing flexibility and improving balance.
  • Each class at Bodybar lasts 40 to 50 minutes.

The Lenexa studio is the company’s second studio in Johnson County

  • The fitness company has one other Johnson County studio, which is in southern Overland Park.
  • Across the state line, the company also has a studio in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • The Texas-based company also has locations in several other states, including California, Texas, Illinois and Idaho.
