A locally owned Asian eatery is preparing to close its doors in Olathe.
Asian fusion restaurant Asian Pearl recently announced its impending closure, after more than a decade in business.
Asian Pearl operates at 18138 W. 119th St.
- The restaurant currently occupies a space on the northeast corner of 119th Street and Ridgeview Road, near The Villas at Ridgeview Falls apartments.
- The space is also near fast-casual chains Arby’s and Chipotle.
- Asian Pearl opened in that space in the spring of 2010.
Asian Pearl has not yet set a closing date
- As of this week, the Olathe restaurant is still open.
- When reached at the restaurant, an employee did not have a closure date on hand, and declined to answer any further questions about the closure.
- Asian Pearl’s menu offers dishes like sesame chicken, Mongolian beef and honey walnut shrimp.
The restaurant announced its closure online
- Via a social media post, Asian Pearl told its customers that the closure is due to the end of the restaurant’s lease at the space.
- The post thanked customers for their loyal patronage over the last several years.
- “Your support has meant the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for every visit, smile, and story over the years,” the post read. “Come by and help us close this chapter with joy and gratitude while continuing to serve your favorite dishes while we can.”
