A restaurant that doubled as a bocce and bowling venue appears to have closed in Overland Park.
Illinois-based Pinstripes closed its Prairiefire location near 135th and Nall on Monday with little notice, after more than a decade in business there.
Pinstripes was at 13500 Nall Ave.
- The restaurant occupied a space on the east end of the Prairiefire shopping district, just off 135th Street and Nall Avenue.
- The bistro and venue has occupied that space for more than a decade.
- Its menu offered Italian-American inspired dishes like pizzas, flatbreads, pastas and salads.

The closure came abruptly this week
- Signage on the restaurant’s doors Tuesday morning said the restaurant was closed, and not much else.
- Calls to the restaurant on Monday were also greeted with a message saying the restaurant would be closed just on Monday and Tuesday due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
- As of Tuesday morning, that message had been replaced with one that states the restaurant is now permanently closed.
- Representatives with the Illinois-based company did not immediately respond to Post inquiries about the closure.
This was the only Pinstripes in Johnson County
- The location at Prairiefire was also the only Pinstripes location in the wider Kansas City metro area.
- The company is headquartered in Illinois, and it has eight locations across the United States.
- That includes locations in Illinois and in other states like California and Minnesota.
