For the second time this year, Kansas City-based Beauty Brands is closing one of its Johnson County stores.

Months after the closure of one of its Johnson County stores, cosmetics chain Beauty Brands is preparing to close another one.

The Kansas City-based company will close its Shawnee store by the end of the month, according to employees at the store.

Beauty Brands is closing at 15320 Shawnee Mission Parkway

  • The store occupies a space at the Shawnee Station shopping center, just off Shawnee Mission Parkway and Lackman Road.
  • There, it operates near Five Below and Michaels.
  • Beauty Brands has occupied its Shawnee space for at least a decade.

Another Beauty Brands store closed this year

  • The Kansas City-based company closed its location at the Orchard Corners shopping center in Lenexa earlier this year.
  • Beauty Brands occupied its Lenexa space for more than 15 years in business.
  • Without the Lenexa and Shawnee stores, Beauty Brands still has Johnson County stores in Overland Park and Olathe.

Something else recently closed at Shawnee Station

  • Also at Shawnee Station, breakfast eatery IHOP closed a location earlier this year.
  • At that time, IHOP had been open in Shawnee for roughly a decade.
  • The breakfast eatery still has Johnson County locations in Overland Park, Olathe and Merriam.
