PHOTOS: Old Shawnee Days parade draws crowds to downtown Shawnee

Annual Old Shawnee Days Parade beats the rain as people crowd downtown Shawnee to celebrate.

While the sky was overcast, the Old Shawnee Days Parade avoided the afternoon rain on Saturday as crowds lined the streets downtown for the annual celebration.

Organizations, politicians and companies shook hands, passed out candy and wished people well as they marched to Shawnee Town 1929, where the weekend festival was held.
