With one Johnson County location in the works, a Missouri-based pizzeria has already set its sights on another one.
This week, Pizza Tascio announced a new location coming to Johnson Drive in Mission later this year.
Pizza Tascio is coming to 5422 Johnson Drive
- The restaurant will take over a space just off Johnson Drive and Nall Avenue.
- There, Pizza Tascio will operate near Sully’s Pub. (Eli Lombardino, owner of Pizza Tascio, said the new Mission location may have some extended late-night hours to accommodate the nearby Sully’s crowd.)
- Pizza Tascio plans to open its new Mission location this summer.
Pizza Tascio is a “New York style” pizzeria
The restaurant serves a variety of pizzas, from classics like cheese and pepperoni to signature flavors like white bruschetta and buffalo chicken.
The definite best-seller, Lombardino said, is the “red Tascio” pizza with pepperoni and hot honey.
“It’s our number one pie,” Lombardino said. “We always joke that it’s ‘KC’s favorite pizza,’ and it’s everyone’s favorite when they come in.”
Those pizzas are available both as whole pies and by the slice. Customers can also create their own pizzas, choosing from a variety of toppings.
“Something great about pizza is that it’s completely customizable to your own taste,” he said.
Besides pizza, the menu also offers sides like breadsticks and salads.
Another Pizza Tascio is coming soon to Johnson County
Further south, the Missouri-based chain also has a location in the works in Olathe.
Lombardino, who launched Pizza Tascio with his family in St. Joseph, Missouri in 2021, said both of the new Johnson County locations could be open by August.
“We have so many customers who live in the Mission area, but they’re either going to our Waldo location or our 39th Street location, which are both pretty far away” he said. “We’ve been looking for a while to fill the gap.”
Pizza Tascio also has one more Johnson County location in Overland Park.
