Women’s clothing and lifestyle retailer Anthropologie will soon become one the latest additions to a growing southern Overland Park development.
According to a news release, the company has signed on to be part of the next wave of retail tenants at the Bluhawk development.
Anthropologie is coming to U.S. 69 and 159th Street
- The store will occupy a newly built space at the Bluhawk shopping center.
- Pending construction, Anthropologie plans to open the new store by the summer of 2027.
- It will join other new additions like outdoor retailer L.L. Bean and acai bowl shop Everbowl.
Anthropologie is a ‘design-led’ lifestyle brand
- The company offers a variety of women’s clothing items and accessories, from skirts and sweaters to necklaces and purses.
- In addition to clothes, Anthropologie offers home goods like rugs, candles, bedding and mirrors.
- Anthropologie also sells some beauty items like perfume, lip gloss and face masks.

This marks the second Anthropologie store in Johnson County
- The new Overland Park store is also the third overall in the Kansas City area for the company.
- Anthropologie has another store at Leawood’s Town Center Plaza, as well a shop at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri.
- Anthropologie also marks the latest in a growing number of new additions to Bluhawk, from restaurants and retailers to the first of multiple planned hotels there.
- “Anthropologie is a natural fit for Bluhawk as we continue building out the retail offering,” said Kent Price, president of Price Brothers, the developer and manager of Bluhawk, via a release. “Its breadth across fashion, home and lifestyle adds another dimension to the experience and complements the national brands taking shape across the project.”
