A popular French eatery in the Shops of Prairie Village has officially unveiled its newly expanded storefront.
French Market spent the past few weeks putting the finishing touches on an addition next door to its current location. The restaurant now features a grab-and-go counter for customers on the go, plus separate check-out stations for dine-in and retail customers.
With the additional space, the hope is that French Market will be able to better accommodate on-the-go customers without sacrificing the intimate vibe of its dine-in café side, co-owner Noah Quillec told Post reporter Lucie Krisman last month.

“I’ve seen many people come in, see the line and just walk out,” he said. “Each component of French Market is going to be improved for us logistically and, I think the customer experience will too.”
Located at 6945 Tomahawk Road, French Market remains a popular mainstay for Prairie Villagers on the hunt for a place to grab lunch, pick up a few specialty groceries and snag some of the macarons on their way out the door.
“The ethos of French Market will remain the same, ” Quillec said last month. “We don’t want to lose our identity or our character by going too big. This is still our family working here every day.”
