Johnson County Community College (JCCC) helps students from JCCC and other colleges make the most of their winter break with Winter Session. Students can choose one class and earn up to 4 credit hours in four short weeks. These accelerated online classes help students get ahead and stay ahead as they work toward their educational goals.
Why take a Winter Session class?
There are many advantages to Winter Session classes.
- Convenience: Because all Winter Session classes are online, enrolled students can take classes and learn from (almost) anywhere, including the comfort of home. The classes follow a structured and organized course plan. Assignments, instructions, and deadlines are clearly communicated to keep students on track.
- Affordability: All JCCC courses are offered at our low tuition rates, with no additional per-credit-hour fees. Students can complete a Winter Session class for a fraction of the cost of similar classes at other area colleges. Plus, for out-of-town students visiting home for winter break, many of the courses’ credits transfer easily to their “primary” institutions.
- Momentum: A well-deserved break can disrupt learning momentum. Students can keep on track with a Winter Session course, or they can knock out a class to accelerate meeting their educational goals.
Students who are curious about whether Winter Session is a good option for them can complete an online assessment to find out.
