Rui Xu (Democratic, incumbent)
Rui Xu is running unopposed and has represented District 25 since 2019. He has served on the House Education, Higher Education Budget and Financial Institutions and Pensions committees. Born in Switzerland and raised in Rolla, Missouri, Xu became a naturalized U.S. citizen at 12, studied economics at the University of Southern California and previously worked as a performance analyst for Sporting Kansas City. Xu opposes property valuation caps, favoring restored state revenue sharing with cities and counties. He voted against the Chiefs stadium deal.
