Drive-thru coffee chain 151 Coffee opens in Overland Park

After a lengthy buildout, Texas-based chain 151 Coffee officially opened its new Overland Park shop on Tuesday.

A much-awaited drive-thru coffee chain has officially debuted in Johnson County.

After a lengthy buildout, Texas-based chain 151 Coffee opened its new Overland Park shop on Tuesday.

151 Coffee opened at 9180 Metcalf Ave.

  • The shop occupies a newly constructed space at the Regency Park shopping center, just off of 93rd Street and Metcalf Avenue.
  • There, it operates near breakfast restaurant First Watch and grocery store Natural Grocers.
  • 151 Coffee is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

151 Coffee serves coffee drinks and “dirty” sodas

  • 151 Coffee’s menu features a range of coffee drinks, from standard lattes and americanos to specialty drinks like white chocolate macadamia and caramel blondie.
  • In addition to coffee, 151 Coffee is also known for “dirty pops” — sodas with added flavors like coconut, mango and butterscotch.
  • 151 Coffee’s menu also features other beverages like flavored energy drinks, iced “refreshers” and smoothies.

This marks the first 151 Coffee in Johnson County

  • The Overland Park shop also serves as the first in the wider Kansas City metro area for the Texas-based chain.
  • 151 Coffee does have another Overland Park shop in the works, at 12005 Metcalf Ave., for which the opening timeline is currently unclear.
  • 151 Coffee also has locations in Lawrence and Manhattan, Kansas.
