Lenexa City Center gaining new cocktail bar this winter

The new cocktail bar follows a growing list of restaurants and other additions coming to the busy Lenexa corridor.

A new “refined yet welcoming” cocktail experience is on its way to a quickly growing part of Lenexa.

NEAT., a new cocktail bar, plans to open its doors at Lenexa City Center this coming winter, according to a release from Kansas City-based Copaken Brooks this week.

NEAT. is coming to 16953 City Center Drive

  • The bar is moving into a 1,250-square-foot space at Lenexa City Center, just off City Center Drive and Penrose Lane.
  • Savoy Tea Co. previously occupied that space for five years before it closed in May.
  • The space is also near Topcoat Nail Bar and a Pure Barre studio.

NEAT. will serve up “house creations and elevated classics”

  • The cocktail bar will offer a curated selection of specialty cocktails, as well as wines, beers and zero-proof (alcohol-free) options.
  • Some of the cocktails on NEAT.’s menu include the “Abiding Gentleman” (with cream-washed vodka, Aztec chocolate and cacao-blossom foam) and the “1840 Highball” (1840 cognac, Grand Marnier, persimmon, vanilla, citric solution and sparkling water).
  • “With NEAT., we want to showcase bartending as both a craft and an act of hospitality,” said Sam Johnston, co-founder and director of beverage and operations at NEAT., via a release. “By introducing elevated techniques such as clarifications and other modern approaches, we’re creating cocktails that feel timeless yet fresh.”

Lenexa City Center is getting lots of new additions

  • The new cocktail bar comes as the latest in a growing number of additions coming to the busy area off 87th Street and Renner Boulevard.
  • Texas-based Stoney River Steakhouse also plans to make a Johnson County debut at Lenexa City Center, near the newly built AdventHealth hospital there.
  • Colorado-based breakfast eatery Urban Egg and Kansas City-based restaurant Five Four Restaurant and Drafthouse also plan to open new locations in the same vicinity.
