‘Dirty soda’ chain Swig opens newest Overland Park shop

The new Overland Park shop serves as the second in the city, and the third in Johnson County.

Roughly a month after debuting in Overland Park, a popular drive-thru soda shop has opened a second location in the city.

Swig, a drive-thru shop known for flavored “dirty” sodas, recently opened a new Overland Park shop at 91st Street and Metcalf Avenue.

Swig opened at 6901 W. 91st St.

  • The soda shop occupies a newly built space at the southeast corner of 91st Street and Metcalf Avenue.
  • There, it operates near Summer Moon Coffee and Wingstop.
  • Swig is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

Swig serves flavored ‘dirty’ sodas

  • The soda shop is primarily known for its “dirty sodas”, which are flavored with a variety of different syrups and creams.
  • The menu features flavor combinations like the “Princess Peach” (Dr Pepper, peach and coconut cream) and the “Hula Girl” (Sprite, lemonade, mango, pineapple, strawberry and coconut cream).
  • In addition to soda, Swig also offers “Revivers” (flavored energy drinks), “Refreshers” (flavored waters) and flavored hot chocolate.
  • The Swig menu also features other treats like sugar cookies and pretzel bites.

This marks the third Swig location in Johnson County

  • Swig’s first Johnson County location opened in Mission earlier this year.
  • The Utah-based chain opened its first Overland Park location in August, off 135th Street and Quivira Road.
  • Closer to the end of the year, Swig plans to open another shop at the Bluhawk shopping center, just off 159th Street and U.S. Highway 69.
