Rally House sports apparel store moving to larger Mission space

After 18 years in its spot on Johnson Drive, the Lenexa-based retailer is moving into a larger space at the nearby Mission West shopping center to the south.

After nearly two decades in its current Mission spot, a sports apparel retailer is headed to a larger space — but it’s not going far.

Lenexa-based retailer Rally House is moving to the Mission West shopping center, replacing the now-vacant space previously occupied by the SuperKidz indoor playground.

Rally House is coming to 6753 Johnson Drive

  • For at least 18 years, Rally House has occupied a space at 6858 Johnson Drive.
  • There, it operated near Mud Pie Bakery and Avelluto’s.
  • The new space neighbors Planet Fitness at Mission West, and it’s also near soda shop Swig.

The new space will be larger

  • According to a release from Kansas City-based Block & Company, Inc., the property managers of Mission West, Rally House intends to reopen in its new space in the spring.
  • The new 9,400-square-foot space will be 2,400 square feet larger than the former one at 6858 Johnson Drive just north of the new location.
  • The store offers sports apparel for a variety of local teams, some of which include the Chiefs, Royals and KC Current.

SuperKidz Club previously occupied the space

  • Indoor playground SuperKidz Club was the most recent long-term occupant of Rally House’s new space, opening there in March 2019.
  • The play and event space later left its Mission space to relocate to Shawnee after roughly three years.
  • In between the two permanent tenants, the Mission space hosted some temporary occupants, including seasonal pop-up Spirit Halloween.
