Coffee chain Dutch Bros aims to open a new Shawnee drive-thru

The Arizona-based chain has a new drive-thru coffee shop in the works in western Shawnee.

An Arizona-based coffee chain has another Johnson County location in the works.

Drive-thru coffee chain Dutch Bros has filed plans to open a new location at a growing development in Shawnee.

Dutch Bros aims to come to Grey Oaks

  • According to city documents, Dutch Bros is eyeing a site at the Grey Oaks shopping center in western Shawnee.
  • The site is off 56th and Silverheel streets, just east of Kansas Highway 7.
  • It’s near Firestone Complete Auto Care and Liquor House at the shopping center.

Dutch Bros offers lattes, flavored energy drinks and more

  • The drive-thru coffee chain serves a variety of coffee drinks, from traditional ones like americanos and cold brews to sweeter lattes like the “caramelizer” (with espresso, caramel and chocolate milk).
  • Dutch Bros also offers flavored “Rebel” energy drinks in flavors like “aftershock” (blackberry, lime, raspberry and strawberry) and “double rainbro” (coconut, peach and strawberry).
  • The menu at Dutch Bros also features other drinks like smoothies, tea lattes, sparkling sodas and lemonades.

This marks the seventh Dutch Bros in Johnson County

  • This new shop would also mark the second in Shawnee for Dutch Bros, with another one already open off Shawnee Mission Parkway.
  • The Arizona-based company also opened a new location at the Prairiefire development in southern Overland Park at the end of 2025.
  • Dutch Bros also has locations in Lenexa and Olathe.
