Prairie Village launches online traffic ticket payment portal

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and make this bold pronouncement: Don’t nobody like gettin’ traffic tickets.

But should the undesirable event occur to you in Prairie Village, at least you now have the option of paying your debt to society from the comfort of your den.

Prairie Village Municipal Court has launched a new system that lets people pay traffic tickets online. Though certain violations will still require people to make a court appearance, many can be settled by visiting the new ticket payment portal through the city’s website.

To look up your ticket, you’ll need to provide one of the following sets of info:

Citation number and Date of Birth; or
Driver’s License Number, Driver’s License State and Date of Birth; or
Vehicle License Plate Number and Registration State

There is a $1.50 transaction fee for paying a traffic ticket online.
