JoCo Notes: Lonestar headlines Old Settlers this weekend

Yep, it’s already Thursday, Blue Valley.

☀️ Today’s forecast: Sunny and clear. High: 87. Low: 63.

One thing to know today

Country music fans of a certain age will get a nostalgic fix at the upcoming Johnson County Old Settlers in downtown Olathe this weekend.

The band Lonestar will headline the annual gathering commemorating the pioneers of Johnson County with two separate performances on Friday and Saturday nights.

In the 1990s and early 2000s, Lonestar reeled off a string of chart-topping hits, including the now-classics, “No News,” “Amazed” and “I’m Already There.”

The band is out with a new album, “TEN to 1,” a compilation of re-recordings of 10 of their past #1 hits.

Johnson County Old Settlers, which returned last year after two straight years of cancelations, starts Thursday at noon. See a fuller of events here.
