Popular Mediterranean eatery Meddys planning new Overland Park location

The Wichita-based restaurant plans to add a third Johnson County location, near the Aspiria development in Overland Park.

A Wichita-based Mediterranean eatery is adding to its Johnson County footprint — this time near a growing Overland Park development where two other restaurants recently announced new locations.

Fast-casual chain Meddys plans to open a new Overland Park location near the Aspiria development in Overland Park.

Meddys is coming to 115th Street and Nall Avenue

  • According to a report from commercial real estate company Colliers, the restaurant plans to occupy a parcel on the southwest corner of 115th Street and Nall Avenue.
  • The restaurant would operate near two other incoming restaurants, Yard House and Capital Grille, both of which are expected to open later this year.
  • Meddys would also be near newly opened go-karting and gaming venue Andretti, which opened on the eastern side of the Aspiria grounds late last year.

Meddys offers fast-casual Mediterranean fare

  • The restaurant is known for traditional Mediterranean dishes like beef shawarma and falafel wraps, as well as larger plates like grilled citrus salmon and garlicky chicken.
  • Meddys also serves some soups and salads, such as mushroom or creamy tomato soup or salmon salads.
  • The menu at Meddys also offers some sweets, like baklava, triple chocolate mousse and root beer floats.

This marks the third Meddys in Johnson County

  • The Wichita-based brand initially debuted in Johnson County in 2022, with a location at the Corinth Quarter shopping center in Prairie Village.
  • Then in the summer of 2024, Meddys opened another location at the Sonoma Plaza shopping center in Lenexa.
  • Across the state line, Meddys also has locations in Kansas City, Missouri’s Brookside neighborhood and in Liberty, Missouri.
