Have a ‘Pilates Addiction?’ Fitness studio coming to Leawood’s Park Place

Pilates Addiction runs under the same ownership group as Body20, which has a location in Lenexa, and Beem Light Sauna, which is adding a studio in Leawood, too.

A fitness studio geared toward “the new gold standard” of Pilates is on its way to Johnson County.

Pilates Addiction, a fitness studio under the same ownership as wellness brands Body20 and Beem Light Sauna, has a new Leawood studio in the works.

Pilates Addiction is coming to 11560 Ash St.

  • The fitness studio is taking over a space at the Park Place shopping center, just off 115th Street and Nall Avenue in Leawood.
  • Picasso Exotic Aquatics previously occupied that space.
  • Pilates Addiction will also be near Perspire Sauna Studio at the shopping center.

This marks the first Pilates Addiction studio in Johnson County

  • Pilates Addiction offers four different “signature” workout classes, which use gold-plated reformers (what the brand calls the “Rolls Royce” of pilates).
  • The new Leawood studio will serve as Pilates Addiction’s first in Johnson Count and in the wider Kansas City area.
  • Outside of Kansas, the fitness brand has studios in other states like Florida, California and Michigan.

Park Place has seen a lot of openings and closings

  • The arrival of the new Pilates studio follows the opening of breakfast eatery AR’s earlier this year, a few doors down.
  • The new Leawood spot is the third in Johnson County for AR’s, which originally opened in downtown Overland Park in 2023.
  • With those openings have come closures at the Leawood shopping center, including seafood eatery Aqua Penny’s and French bistro Aixois.
