  • Westlake Ace Hardware also offers home repair and maintenance services like plumbing, painting and electrical fixes.

Sears closed just over a year ago

  • Before its closure in May 2023, Sears Home & Life operated out of that space for roughly four years.
  • The Overland Park store was one of thousands that the retailer closed due to declining revenue after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
  • That store was the last one remaining in the Kansas City metro area, following the closure of six more Kansas stores at the beginning of 2023.

This is the tenth JoCo Westlake Ace Hardware

  • The store at The Fountains also serves as the fourth in Overland Park for the Lenexa-based retailer.
  • Outside of Overland Park, the company also has locations in Olathe, Lenexa, Shawnee and Prairie Village.
  • Across the state line, Westlake Ace Hardware has three more stores in Kansas City, Missouri.
