2025 Olathe city council election primer
There are two contested races for Olathe City Council seats this year, in Ward 4 and for an at-large seat.
There is also a third uncontested race in Ward 3.

Ward 3
- Current Councilmember LeEtta Felter, a former Olathe school board member, is seeking her second term on the city council and does not have an opponent.
Ward 4
In Ward 4, Councilmember and current Mayor Pro Tem Marge Vogt is seeking her tenth term on the city council and faces a challenge from precinct leader Kevin Deneault.

At-large
For one of the city council’s two at-large seats, current planning commissioner Jeff Creighton is running against former state senator Rob Olson for the seat currently held by Kevin Gilmore, who is not running again.
