Here’s what opened, closed and is coming soon this month in Johnson County

New breweries and cocktail bars, the closure of multiple fast-casual eateries, some new spaces for local makers and more made for a busy July in Johnson County.

After the Painted Tree’s closure in southern Overland Park, two new multi-vendor spaces in Overland Park and Mission are giving local makers a chance to have their community back.

One Johnson County city finally got something its residents have long been hoping for: a cocktail bar.

In Overland Park, a family that has owned an Indian grocery store for roughly a decade took a chance on a new restaurant venture, right next door to the store where they’ve steadily built up a following.

From açai bowls and energy drinks to craft cocktails and tikka masala pizza, it’s been a busy month for the Johnson County local business landscape. Per the Post’s reporting, here’s what mostly recently opened, closed and is on the horizon for Johnson County.
